Everything Is the Lord’s
by Miss Alyssa
A year has drawn to a close while a new year is just beginning. Years will look different and have unique experiences in them. But it seems that all years have some things in common. They will have both happiness and pain, both joy and sorrow, both hope and discouragement, both victories and losses, both dreams fulfilled and disappointments. In the end, what really matters is that we love God and that we love others.
“And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:29-31
Have you given your whole life to God? He deserves all of you. Even though I received Jesus into my heart when I was quite young, I didn’t completely surrender my life to Him until later.

“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.” Psalm 24:1-2
Everything belongs to Him anyway. He created you and saved you! Money, clothes, home, friends, family, etc. are all His. Are you going to try to cling to the things of this world? Or are you going to voluntarily give it all to Him? I encourage you to give Him all your hopes, plans, and dreams as well; I encourage you to give Him everything!
When you give Him total control over your life, you don’t need to worry about things. God knows the plans He has for you. Seek His will for your life. Don’t worry if others don’t like it or it isn’t popular. Follow what God tells you to do.
I hope you will continually surrender everything to the Maker of heaven and earth!
Please ask yourselves these questions.
Have I given all that I am and all that I have to God and God alone?
Am I fully surrendered to God’s will for me-whatever it may be?
Am I living for God or for the things of this world?

Am I living for God or for the things of this world.”
Alyssa, thanks for the personal reminder to seek Gods’ will; to be living for God; to examine my life and my motives to see what is truly at the base.
