The Homeschool Blog Awards is rapidly approaching us with nominations set to begin October 19th.
We are so excited to see this season get underway. It’s always a blessing to see all the wonderful blogs out there that encourage home education of all varieties.
They have a category for teen blogs as described:
14, Best Teen Girl Blog, 15. Teen Guy Blog, 16.Teen Group Blog
Let’s encourage those young bloggers to speak up and be a good example for their peers. I have seen so many wonderful teen blogs out there that deserve recognition. Let us know what some of your favorites are! Teen blogs can be any blogs run by teens who are at least 12 years of age. The winners will have to submit permission slips signed by their parents – see legal page at HSBA for more details. [This blog does not have to be exclusively about homeschooling, but homeschooling should be mentioned often or it should be obvious from the template that the teen is a homeschooler.]
Be sure to get that permission slip signed and sent in!
So how do you find these teen homeschool blogs anyway? How do we know they’re out there? Here’s where GGM would love to help out! If you know of a teen girl blog, teen guy blog, or teen group blog that supports homeschooling, and abides in the terms of the HSBAPost, then send in those blog links! GGM would like to highlight those blogs so those in the blogosphere knows who they are.
You can send in your own blog, a friends blog, or a family members blog for GGM to help get the word out that their blog qualifies. Here’s what we would like to hear from you about:
Blog Name:
Blog Authors(s):
Category for HSBA (14,15, or 16):
What makes that blog so cool:
Your name:
Your blog link:
**Keep in mind that the blogs you send into GGM must be family friendly and supportive of the blogosphere as a whole. Any blogs/blog owners that have links or posts to information that can be viewed as critical of another blogger or homeschool entrepreneurs won’t be highlighted here at GGM.
There is no limit to how many you would like to send in to have us highlight. The more we receive the better. This gives everyone a chance to see all those great blogs before nominating begins.
Send those submissions to GGMEditor {at} gmail.com
