The HSBAPost has begun accepting nominations for your favorite homeschool blogs. GGMagazine has been highlighting some of the teen homeschool blogs out there and we will continue to do so. The nomination process will remain open until October 30th, so you still have time to think about it. So just why would someone nominate a teen homeschool blog? Here are some things that I feel are important to consider when nominating a teen homeschool blog.
DO:
Nominate a blog if they have a spirit of excellence in what they bring forth to the blogosphere.
They are respectful toward others and their beliefs. (they do not belittle someone else if they don’t live up to their measuring rod)
Respect parental authority (they do not bash ‘parents’ whether theirs or others)
Respect all authority (do not bash government authorities. disagreements are acceptable, but not disrespectfully)
Respect their readers (do not reprimand readers for differing perspectives)
Respect other homeschool blogs and vendors (do not bash or slander other homeschool bloggers or spread slander about homeschool vendors. They avoid drama on Twitter and Facebook)
Easy to navigate their blog.
If Christian, they should bring honor to Christ and truly have the fruits of the Spirit of God.
They support homeschooling, and are a homeschool student.(homeschool college counts for young homeschool blog teens)
Post, tweet and Facebook about the Homeschool Blog Awards.
Do Nots:
Do not nominate someone out of popularity or because you want them to like you for nominating them.
Do not tell others who you nominated.(Don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing)
Do not tell others who to nominate for. Let them make up their own minds.
Do not tell the person you nominated them.
Do not ask them to nominate you.
Don’t cheat. (the HSBA Staff knows who are sending in the noms. They know your IP’s so be honest in your nominating. Yes, they’ll know if you nominated from home and the library.)
Let’s bring integrity to the homeschool blogosphere by being honest. Don’t let the spirit of competition to overtake you and pull you into temptation.
GGMagazine has brought to you several blogs so far and will continue to do so, for now take a look at these teen homeschool blogs.
By highlighting teen homeschool blogs here at GGMagazine we are not asking you to nominate these, just introducing you to many of them we have found or received from readers.
