From the Editor’s Desk

During our first year of growing in Grace, our team of writers worked and prayed diligently in regards to writing about the Fruits of the Spirit. The Fruit of the Spirit is explained in Galatians chapter 5. When we have received Christ as our Saviour, by accepting Him as the New Covenant, we are told that we will walk in the Spirit and our lives will display the fruits of the Spirit.

With a new year of Growing in Grace Magazine, we also have had growth in the lives of some of our writers. Some have taken on new directions in their lives and in personal ministries. We thank those writers for their diligence in writing for God’s Glory here at GGM. We want to extend a fond farewell to the Dixon Family as they set out on their journey as a family in other areas of ministry.

This month our focus is on the theme of our magazine, Grace. Over the last few months, God has been showing my family a more intimate walk with our Saviour and has shown us His Grace in a fresh new way. We are thankful to have had our eyes opened to an area of spiritual thirst so that we could realize our need for a deeper journey with Christ our King.

We have some special guests writers this month and GGM is always open to welcoming new writers as well. We have received some interested young ladies and have sent back letters of inquiry for samples of their writing. If you are one of those young ladies, we need to hear back from you. If for some reason our last email to you was lost in cyberspace, please email again and we can resend it to you. ggm editor at gmail dot com.

We pray for you to also enjoy a new found journey with Christ that will draw you into a more intimate relationship with Him. We know we will never ‘arrive’ in this physical life and we must always seek a deeper relationship with Him.

    Hello!

I just wanted to tell you how much adore GGM! I love magazines, but finding appropriate magazines for Christian teenage girls is almost impossible. GGM is the only one I have found so far. Your magazine has been a great blessing to me. Keep up the good work! If you still want writers still, I would love to write for GGM!

    Blessings,
    Savannah

I'm so pleased to see your increasing emphasis on grace! It is so tempting for believers to find their justification and sanctification in their own works, behaviors, and "outwards signs" of righteousness. We are no different than Eve, who desired to think herself equal with God. But an accurate understanding of grace – truly unmerited favor – helps us to see ourselves as we really are, and to appreciate all that God does in our lives to make us more like Him.

I have enjoyed the devotional living aspects of the bulk of the articles in this edition. As a reader there is an amazing depth of encouragement in these articles. And for the writers (my daughter being one of them) there is great benefit in being able to see God in everyday life and to draw truths from the things around them. Great edition!
