Making The Home: Place-Cards

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm244/ggmstaff/Article%20Graphics/mHomeLG.png

Thanksgiving Day is not too far away and many have already begun buying and preparing for this event. Sometimes we're not sure what we can help with, but there's something one of the children (or a few) can do. If you have a large family or you're having guests over and special places setting place-cards is a great way to lessen the confusion. Making place-cards are quite easy and anyone can make them. You can make them as plain, elegant, or creative as you want.

Supplies:
Folded cards - one for each guest
Writing pen
Decorative embellishments - rubber stamps, paper or foam stickers, stencils
How-to:
Take your folded cards and write the guest's name on each one - make sure that you write them so the crease is at the top so it will stand up when you're done. Then add embellishments. Since it's Thanksgiving you could find a turkey rubber-stamp and just stamp a turkey on there. Something cute, but easy. Then set the cards at the table at appointed places (eh before guest's arrive!).
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and don't forget to back here with your photos of your Thanksgiving table add it to the post, where I'll have a Mr. Linky up for you!

Blessings!

We enjoy making place cards. We sometimes have the children make them even for our own family nights.

Thanks for the idea! Mom and I are going to make napkin rings and maybe a centerpiece.

Happy Thanksgiving!
