His Purpose is My Purpose
by Miss Amanda
It is awing to me that God is so loving that He would send His most precious treasure to such a sinful world, so that I might one day have an eternal life with Him. It is such a magnificent gift that He has given us! Jesus coming to earth and dying to save me tells me that God is a loving God and He truly does care for everyone!by Miss Amanda
Words cannot express the feeling of gratitude I have to know that Jesus has opened the way for me to have a chance at everlasting life with Him.
The purpose of His life was to die for me, so the only purpose that is important in my life is to live for Him! The only thing I can do to repay His awesome sacrifice is to live my life for Him with every breath I can!
Instead of focusing on Christmas, we wanted to take a look at Christ's birth. The reason for His coming to earth had the sole purpose of dying for sinners. Before His death, Jesus commanded us to remember His death by taking the bread and wine that represents His body and blood:
Luke 22:19-20With that scripture in mind and wanting to remember the reason for Christ coming to earth which is to die for us, we asked the GGM Team the following:
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
What does it means to you that Jesus was sent to this earth and became man so that he could live a life purposed to die for your sins and the sins of mankind.I absolutely love our GGM Team here and they had some wonderfully, insightful answers!
What Jesus Means To MeIt started 2000 Years AgoJohn 3:16 Explains Everythingby Lady OliviaJesus came to earth as a baby from God to his mother, the virgin Mary. When Jesus was on earth as a man He knew that He would die for all of our sins one day. When it came that one day He did just that thing. I am very thankful that Jesus has died for me and that I have accepted Him into my heart so that I can have everlasting life.
I love the verse John 3:16 because it exclaims all of this in just a few words. Did you know it is the most common verse that is used to save people's lives and to transfer them to Jesus? Be thankful for what Jesus did for you and remember that Christmas is celebrated because of Jesus and it is not really just about presents.by Miss JessBecause of what started with the birth of Jesus, and continued at the Resurrection, I have…
A reason for joy to overflow in my life.
The desire to bless his name.
A home in heaven.
A cause to celebrate.
The peace that God's in control.
The confidence to be different.
A friend forever.
A motivation to change.
The truth: I am God's 'Magnus Opus'.
The assurance that I'm loved for eternity.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:23, it encourages us that "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Throughout the Bible, and in particular Paul's letters, I read words such as flee, pursue, change, transform, preserved, and renew. Remember that each word in the Bible is God-breathed. Looking at it in that light, I can see that God truly wants me to be changed and renewed. When I choose to flee from the things of this world and pursue His ways, he can't help but let out a big cheer for me! Diligently, he molds me to be his 'Magnus Opus' – his masterpiece. You see, it's not enough for God to save me – he wants to transform me! And here's the best part of it all: He is.
Although I asked Jesus into my heart when I was three years old in the car, the story really begins two thousand years ago, in a manger that holds the Savior of the world. What a wonder.More Than I Can Sayby Miss AlyssaJesus means more than I can say! Without Jesus coming to earth, dying on the cross, and being raised from the dead three days later, I would not be saved. I would have no hope of going to heaven. I would live a life filled with fear without any eternal purpose. I would live for my own sinful desires and that would be miserable. I think about what my life would be like without Jesus. No gift can compare to what Jesus did for me! I realize the world and the things of this world will pass away but God and His Word will never pass away. Matthew 24:35, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away."
Of all the things I am thankful for, my salvation is at the very top of the list. What else can compare with it? Nothing. And yet, how often I take it for granted! How often it doesn't even cross my mind while I care about/focus on meaningless and insignificant things. By God's grace, I want to live in the light of eternity and realize that what really, really matters is that I live for God and obey His Word, that people are reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are really no words that I can say to thank God for giving me the gift of eternal life with Him. I do know that I can praise Him by my actions, showing love to everyone, and by spending time with Him. It is a privilege to be in God's Grace through Jesus, my Redeemer.by Lady RachelIt is hard to explain the awesomeness of Jesus coming to earth to save me, but I'll try to do it by expressing my gratitude to God for allowing me to be saved by Grace. There is no other way to really explain it better than to quote my all-time favourite Bible verse - the first one I ever memorized - John 3:16 "16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."The Greatest Giftby Lady JessIn one word, WOW! Jesus has to be the greatest gift anyone has ever, or will ever receive from anyone ever! To live 33 years knowing that you are going to die. That is huge. I cannot possibly describe, fully, how grateful and thankful I really am for my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. That perfect being that was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died a gruesome death. The one who gave up a marvelous Heaven to come to sinful earth just to die for my sins, to him I live my life. I will spread his wonderful gift to anyone I can. I say it every year, and will continue to say and do so. This year I want to give my heart to Jesus.Silent Night, Holy Nightby SisterAngieAs a little girl, my favorite Christmas song was "Silent Night, Holy Night". My family had a small decoration where I could pull a string and listen to the song play. I remember closing my eyes and envisioning that little baby in a manger. It touched me deeply even though I had not yet asked Jesus into my heart at that tender age. Decades later, I realize the incredible significance of the song and scene.
When I consider that Jesus left the glory of Heaven to come to earth as a little babe, crying and hungry, growing up and able to understand the trials, suffering, and temptations that we all know, yet was perfect and without sin. Then, enduring the cross and bearing all the weight of our disobedience and separation from God the Father, not to mention the excruciating pain of the cross, it makes me want to hear the song, fresh and anew—Silent night, Holy nightTo me, Christmas is the time to celebrate and wonder at Jesus, the Christ Child, who came to serve and to save. Today, when we hear that familiar song and look upon a manger scene, let us pause to praise and be thankful that we know Him in His fullness.
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in Heavenly peace
Sleep in Heavenly peace
Silent night, Holy night
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from Heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Hallelujah
Christ, the Savior is born
Christ, the Savior is born
Silent night, Holy night
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy Holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth

I love these posts done by our team! What better reason to celebrate the birth of Christ than to remember the sacrifice he was born to make for our salvation?
Praise be the LORD. Thank you, Jesus, for willingly giving up your rights as the Son of God to come as a mere man and give again to us. Thank you seems so little for the sacrifice he paid with.
We can never repay Him.
Thank you girls for sharing. :)
blessings,
