The Sun Will Come Out

Summer is coming and I see so many girls obsessing over being tan. Some girls may think that you will be unpopular or ugly if you are not tan. This is not so. Not only is tanning or laying out unhealthy for your skin, but in the 1800’s it was considered unladylike. Back then, if you were tan, the first impression of you would most likely be, “She is a slave.” Slaves were the ones with tans, because they worked in the fields. The paler you were, the more feminine you were considered to be. Therefore, this summer, strive to use sunblock as much as possible. It will be better for your skin.
